Intermex, a money transfer service that has my vote for Orwellian wannabe, is being sued by a former employee for disabling a device that tracked her every move both on the job and off.

Employees of Intermex are required to download an app created by Xora and touted as the ultimate in employee tracking.  With this the boss can tell not only where you went for lunch but how fast you drove to get there and how long you took while you were there.

Myrna Arias of Bakersfield California, who, until she was fired, worked for Intermex.  She

decided to delete the app after her boss; John Stubits bragged that employees would be monitored off duty.  Stubits went on to tell Arias that she should tolerate it and reminded her that she was required to keep her phone’s power on 24/7.

Arias is suing Intermex for $500,000.00 in damages.

How to Look up Your Union's Financial Information

Believe it or not anyone can look up the financial information of any union in the United States by following a few simple steps:

• Go to www.dol.gov
• At the top of the page, click where is says A to Z.

• At the A to Z Index click on the letter O.
• At the O Index click on Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS).
• Click on View a Union Report

• Click on the drop down menu next to Union Name by Abbreviation and start typing the name of your Union and click on it when it shows.  Don't forget to scroll to the bottom of the page and click submit.
• This should bring you to a list of all the Locals within that Union.  Simply find the Local you are looking for a click on it.
• Finally, you will see a list of that Local's financial reports by year.  Click on the one desired and start reading.

TOPIC OF DISCUSSION "I HATE MY BOSS"

Okay boys and girls.  I want everyone who hates their boss, regardless of the reason, to tell us about it.  But first lets have a couple of rules.

1.  Keep the profanity to a minimum.  Trust me, we can read between the lines.
2.  No names or company names (for at least now).

4.  No bashing of anyone who is not your boss.  I'm sure you can figure that one out.

So, those are the rules.  Trust me when I say that we don't want anyone to get in trouble over what they post here so we will work with you if you work with us.
